Bill Snook

Bill (William Oliver) Snook, 75, of Broomfield, Colorado, passed away April 21, 2016.

Bill was born March 7, 1941, to John and Helen Loy Snook in Ottumwa. He graduated from Ottumwa High School in 1959.

Bill joined the Air Force in March 1960 and served through March 1964 during the Vietnam era.

After serving his country, he moved back to Iowa and attended college in Burlington while working for Case Implement. After graduation, he moved to Evans, Colorado, and worked for Harsch Hoists. Bill later moved to Broomfield, Colorado, and went to work for Ball Aerospace in Boulder, Colorado, where he was employed as a draftsman designing parts for space shuttles. It was there he met Barbara Lee Griffin, and they were married June 10, 1984.
Bill had enjoyed hunting and woodworking. One of his favorite pastimes was making an annual trip to Arizona to watch the Colorado Rockies team during spring training.

Bill is survived by siblings Raymond (Patsy) of Fort Collins, Colorado, Thomas of Evans, Colorado, Jane Mundell of Ottumwa and Mary Rosenbalm (Allan) of Blakesburg; nephews Matt Mundell, Dennis Snook and Travis Smit; nieces Melissa Mundell Palm and Traci Smith Scott; seven great-nephews and five great-nieces.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara; father John Snook and mother Helen Mooney.

Bill will be fondly remembered and missed by his family, many relatives and numerous friends.

Bill's body has been cremated, and a celebration of life may be held at a later date.
